Suggest Medication To Regularize BP Levels Without Causing Diarrhea
Hi. I am under doctor s care for High blood pressure and have been for 30 years. I am currently on Verapamil 360mg at bedtime. However, it doesn t really control my blood pressure. I just checked it and it was 166/100. I developed chronic diarrhea with no known cause about 15 years ago. I have very severe diarrhea with BP meds that have a side effect of diarrhea. Can you name one that doesn t have that side effect?

Verapamil is more of an antiarrhythmic drug than an antihypertensive.
Add an antihypertensive like amlodipine. Better if it is supervised by a dr though it has a wide margin of safety except some feet edema reported in some.
It seems that you are suffering from chronic colitis or IBS. Visit a gastroenterologist, who might procure an endoscopy and would start specific drugs and antibiotics.
