HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A cough related to an acute cough/cold can potentially last up to 6- 8 weeks. This is called post viral cough. In some cases the use of inhaled or oral steroids may be needed

Coughing may also be related to a drip of mucus to the back of the throat though in some cases the drip itself is not detected.

You can try using medications such decongestants (both oral and topical) and topical nasal steroid creams to see if helps with any post nasal drip that may be present.

I hope this helps
