Hi!

I'm Dr. Neel Kudchadkar from healthcaremagic and I will help you. I would suggest that you take a dose of levocetrizine the first thing in the morning after breakfast, and this will prevent the problems caused such as itching and redness and swelling by mosquito bites. Levocetrizine does not cause sleepiness or any sort of side effects that are associated with anti histaminic agents like chlorpheniramine maleate found in cough syrups and cold tablets. Furthermore I understand that you are concerned about getting malaria or dengue fever from mosquito bites and I feel that Deet or deodorant spray will not suffice to prevent the only 2 dangerous illnesses asscociated with mosquitoes as other fevers are rare in Thialand. I suggest that you take a prophylactic meaning preventive dose of chloroquine and this will effectively stop the illnesses that you are at probable risk. I feel that vitamins are not useful in such matters, but if you use soap containing permethrin then the mosquitoes will be deterred by the odor of this soap, and will not bite you. Thanks, You can consult me for further queries at www.bit.ly/askdrneel Have a nice holiday.
