Suggest Medication Other Than Lansoprazole For Acid Reflux

I have acid reflux due to a hiatus hernia. I cannot take lansoprazole as I get genital blisters. I am on Zantac one morning and one night. But they don t last so I use gaviscon and I am fed up of buying rennin is there any thing else I can take please help.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of acid reflux and you taking medication for that but that is not helping you. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as raise bed level on head side. I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy meal specially at night . Eat at least one hour before going to bet , take a light walk for 15-20 mins after every meal. Visit ENT specialist once if symptoms keeps on persisting. Get ECG done as well to monitor cardiac functions. You should take antacid after every meal like gelusil. Take combination of proton pump inhibitors along with antacids such as rantidine, omeprazole.
