Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition in which there is destruction of melanocytes with appearance of depigmented patches on the skin.

Topical steroids and topical immunomodulators e.g tacrolimus (Imograf) are the mainstay of treatment of focal vitiligo.

Melgain lotion is basic fibroblast growth factor. Melgain is applied overnight and the area is sun exposed the following day. Melgain along with sun exposure is also helpful in repigmenting vitiligo patches.

I would suggest that you continue with the prescribed treatment plan for at least 2-3 months because the response in vitiligo is slow and it is important to give a fair trial of at least 2-3 months before switching on to a different topical therapy.

Regards
