I developed a sore throat ten days ago. A week ago I lost my voice completely and this lasted six days. A few days before my voice returned I developed a cough. In the past 24 hours I have developed a tightening in the chest and when I lean forward I have a sharp pain in the middle of chest.
A viral illness in throat is commonly characterized by sore throat which can also affect vocal cords causing congestion and hoarse voice.Constant coughing can happen at this stage due to irritattion of throat by surrounding inflammation.This can also lead to pain in chest.Voice rest,warm salt water gargles,steam inhalation,cough suppressants(benadryl)could releve you.
