Suggest Medication For Sinus Infection.

I have been on 2 10-day treatments of amoxicillin for what is believed to be a sinus infection, only symptoms were right eye blurriness/dryness/focus problems and slight pain around the eyes. On the last day of medication(a week ago) i began to have cold/flu symptoms, chills, lethargy.. leading now into stuffiness/coughing which I've treated with Cold/Cough medications. Could it be a simple cold that took place on top of whatever eye problems i'm having? Are these additional symptoms possibly related to the sinus infection, even though they came much later on. I have seen an opthamologist who did not see any eye issues, believing it also was a sinus infection... should I be taking more, possibly stronger antibiotics? While the cold symptoms are retreating, the eye dryness and slight bluriness still is present. Thank you.
