General & Family Physician 's  Response
your husband is dx as shingles it is viral disease which is transmitted via nerves from spinal area to skin where it causes burning pain, rashes over skin
any area common trunk ,back one side/chest one side. so its skin rash heals in 1 month but some time causes pain at nerves remains for 3-4 months must eat good protein diet to increase/boost his immune system to control this
,wait take some pain k medication, also tegretal/ carbamazepine is good to control if pain is not improving, but must be RX by Doctor ..stamped
