Suggest Medication For Recurring Knee Pain

Hello doctor, I get a sort of sweet pain around my knees n the lower part of the thighs. I get this pain regularly, especially after climbing the staircases till the third floor as my staffroom is on the third floor. 2 years back i had a minor slip disc and i noticed this pain more after that. Please prescribe me proper medications according to my age as i am just 25 and not yet married. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I think you are having chondromalacia Patallae, In this condition there is softening of knee cartilage, It is more common in young person, and It is caused by either too much exercises, running and some time there is no cause.
So I would recommend you to get a MRI of the knee joint to make sure that it is not a cartilage injury.
Treatment is static quadriceps exercises, avoid squatting and cross leg sitting and tablet Dicerin for six months. Usually it is self limiting and improved with in few weeks to months.
