Suggest Medication For Puss Filled Boil On The Anus Of A Child

My 3 yr old daughter has a boil on her buttcheek. It opened early this morning and started seeping slightly, which I ve wiped away with a dettol swab and covered. But now the swelling doesn t seem to be getting better and there is still pus inside which looks like its kind of flattened around the exit point rather than being just a head . We have ichthammol ointment, and I m wondering if it is still safe to use this when the boil is already opened? The infection has not caused any fever yet, and she is still in good spirits.

Hello,

Boils generally don’t contain pus but it has a pus-like discharge then kindly consult a physician or a pediatrician personally for physical evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
