Suggest Medication For Persistent Cough

I have had this nasty cough I think I caught from this girl at work that is often sick...the coughing spells at one point ... I thought I gave myself a hernia or sharp pain on upper chest area...have had 7 days of strong antibiotic but I am worried at what this may be... i still have a cough at night but is not as bad as it was at first. what to heck did I catch from this girl and should she be allowed to spread this to other co workers? I feel what ever she had she should have been quarantined.

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). As in your case, chronic cough needs to rule out infection and bronchitis first. So chest x ray is necessary for infection and PFT is necessary to rule out bronchitis. So consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
About the girl, I advice chest x ray first before quarantine her.
And better to use mak at work place.
