hello Doc , i am having ear pain... and i normally have it in rainy seasons & its raining here these days in allahabad...and i was having itching too in my ear too,,so i used buds ...and i think the pain in my pinna increased after that.....Now using Otogesic ear drops and feels some relax... Also i visit to an ENT specialist one week ago... some antobiotics and candid drops are suggested by him but i feels no advantage of the same..Kindly suggest accordingly.

Using buds could injure the already inflamed tissues. There could be fungal elements also along with bacterial infection. This needs otoscopic examination of the ear for confirmation. I recommend the following. 1) You might need a change of antibiotics. 2) Analgesics for pain relief. 3) Anihistaminics like levocetrizine for itching relief. 4) Removal of fungal debris from ear canal.
