Suggest Medication For Pain In The Throat While Swallowing

I have a kind of ache and discomfort in my throat, I don t have pain when I swallow, I just have a feeling that something in swollen inside, at time if my neck is someone positioned I will feel like am choking. the last time it took months before disappearing, now is back I have tried aspirin gargle and salt water gargle but no avail, I cant go to hospital because am not working and I don t have insurance

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from globus sensation in throat it may due to tonsillitis or adenoids or pharyngitis or acid reflux or esophagitis etc. It may be idiopathic until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
