Ok a few months ago I tattooed myself with needle and india ink. Yeah I know, not safe, infection, right, but it's already there so whatever. Afterwards the skin was fine, not any different than my professional tattoos, normal healing process. No sign of any skin infection. But in the last few weeks, my leg (where the tattoo is) has been aching, a mild dull ache. It's minor enough that I'm not sure if I'm just being a paranoid hypochondriac. I haven't been able to find anything about post-tattoo infection besides skin infections, but like I said the skin is fine. Could it be that I just have a sore leg (the home tattoo is sort of a brutal process)? I just want to know if there are other internal infections possible or if my leg just hurts because I jammed a needle into it over and over. I sterilized everything, didn't share the needle, used antiseptic, gloves, clean environment, and did proper aftercare. Thank you.
