Suggest Medication For Low Bone Density

I was told after getting my second Dexter scan that my number has gotten worse. I was taking calcium, a bone builder, and prolia shots for two years and my number is worse. My doctor recommended reclast or fozomax. I don t like the side effects of reclast but which will be more effective. I feel I lost about 3 years wasting my time on prolia which I was told was very effective. Which one WILL actually work for me and do I have to wait another two or three years to find out if I am on the right path?

Hello,

If the Dexter scan is showing more bone loss even after taking Prolia then Reclast is the best option for you. Do continue with the calcium supplements also.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
