Hello doctor, I used to take adel 9 homepethic medicine for hair fall the hairfall had stopped completely. then I changed my doctor he started curing me for palladium health condition in terms of homepathy now the hair fall is back in full flow. I am not sure if the Finasteride medicine will be able to stop the hair fall + there many side effects of this medicine. what do you recommend shall I go ahead with Finasteride + minoxydril + biotin etc or move back to the homepaethic medcine? also is adel 9 drops self sufficient or i need the other drops and small homepethic pills along with it ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
There is no proved and effective treatment available to the hair loss problem in alternative medicines.
Most of the hair loss that happens in men is genetic in nature. However, male type of baldness can be treated by means of medications. But not all may be benefited with it.
Minoxidil is known to help in stopping hair fall and help in growth of new hair by means of its vasodilation effect. However, it needs to be used regularly for about 3 to 5 years to obtain satisfactory results.
Finastride is known to promote hair growth by its anti-androgenic effect.
Biotin is a vitamin, which helps to keep the hair and skin healthy.
By use of these medications, the effect would be only known when used regularly as prescribed for about 2 to 3 months.
In case you do not get satisfactory results, it would be better for you to go for hair transplantation.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
