Suggest Medication For Diarrhea

hi my husband had a sore stomach last night and woke up with a cold sweat , he eventually went to the toilet and had olot or diarreha. today he was feeling better but tonight has a fever of 37.5 and had a small amount of blood when he went to the toilet he is feeling weak. should i take him to the hospital tonight or wait to see whats happening tomorrow?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
From the description you have given, it appears that your husband is suffering from 'infective diarrhea'.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. He needs to take antibiotic course of Tablet. Ciprofloxacin with Tinidazole combination - at 12 hourly interval after food for 5 days.
2. He needs to increase the fluid intake by consuming good quantities of water, fresh fruit juices and oral rehydration solution (ORS) till diarrhea comes to under control.
3. He can Take tablet. Acetaminophen when he has or feels feverish.
In case his condition does not improve or his weakness continues, he may require hospitalization and further treatment with infusion of intravenous fluids.
