Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The treatment of depression is such that many medicines have to be tried one after the other. If some medicine works good then it can be continued and if it doesn't then the medicine needs to be changed. Usually these medicines take time to act and mostly one needs to try for 1 month atleast. now that you have mentioned that there is no significant improvement even after 7 months then the diagnosis has to be re-evaluated the medications need to be changed. there are various other medicines like venlafaxine or fluoxetine or mirtazapine which can be useful. Also the treatment can be augmented with divalproex sodium or lamotrigine to get the improvement.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
