Dear Sir,

Thanks for Asking

Being 65 years Old , with a HBA1C of 7 % , i Feel you are doing pretty good. But Just want to Ask you whether you are on any other diabetic medication or is it Just Diamicron 80..??

Please let me know ...So that i can prescribe ! You can still aim for a tighter control of 6.5 or less provided you dont have any heart disease.

According to many studies(UKPDS) if you can keep your A1C less than or around 7 it will prevent many diabetic complications.

Adhere to a proper dietary regimen and continue to walk atleast 30 min daily...

Hope this Helps

Regards
Dr.Samuel
