Suggest Medication For Constant Cold And Wheezing

Hi My Son is 8 years old. He has been having recurrent cold which leads to wheezing. We have been treating him with homeopathic medicine for the last one year. We had done allergy and intolerance test and he has been on elimination diet for the past 6 months. Though his skin rashes etc., have come under control, he does seem to have night time cough etc., He also has DNS with right nostril blocked almost. Could DNS be the reason for his wheezing. Will a septoplasty remove or control his problem of constant cold and wheezing. And is this the right age to go for a septoplasty

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

if the deviated nasal septum( dns) Is severe and is predisposing to repeated upper respiratory tract infection, it's likely that it may have a role in wheezing because of increased hyper - reactivity of the airways.
If on clinical assessment the cause is attributable to dns then the symptoms can improve after septoplasty.
It can be done even at this age if he is symptomatic.

Take care
