Suggest Medication For Acne

Hi Sir, This is Ravikumar. I have acne problem from last 12 years. I used many creams for acne and scars including hydroquinine creams. Hydroquinine creams gave me good results. So, I used it almost 3 years. Later I came to know that, Hydroquinine is not good for skin. When I stopped these topical creams, my problem is repeated and deep hyperpgmentation also can see over my face now. Now my face color is block. We can easily find the difference when we compare it with my body. Now, I want to user Meladerm. Is it safe..? Is there any safe medication for my problem..?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have noticed acne since 12 years which occur because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and it leads to post inflammation hyper-pigmentation. You should apply Meladerm cream and it is purely safe to use as this is combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time.I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for acne as well as marks. Drink plenty of water. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks. Apply aloe vera gel at night
