Thanks for putting up your query at HealthcareMagic. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Based on the information that you have provided, I do not think that this is a case of ADHD although I need some more information to confirm the diagnosis. Information on your age would have been valuable. ADHD is a condition which is more prevalent in childhood and adolescence although there is an entity called Adult ADHD.

I understand that you have been growing apprehensive and anxious due to your sleeplessness or insomnia. As a matter of fact, sleeplessness and anxiety flow in a vicious cycle and this cycle needs to be broken in order to obtain relief. The actual cause of the anxiety needs to be looked into and I suggest you to visit a doctor or a a sleep clinic to look deeper into the matter, assuming that you have already tried the common sleep inducing techniques. I would insist you to avoid stimulants like coffee before going to bed. If I had a patient like you, I would have suggested him some anxiolytic like Alprazolam in low dose or Zolpidem but these are prescription drugs and please consult your doctor before deciding on it.
