Hi,

Tinea versicolor is a superficial fungal skin disease caused by yeast. It may take a few months to recover. Apply ketoconazole cream. Take ketoconazole tablet daily for ew months. Ketoconazole containing shampoo may be done to cleanse the scalp, as the yeast resides on the scalp. Ketoconazole soap may be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
