It hurts to touch and is a bit red but it doesn t itch or cause anymore pain than touching it. It came up about 4 days ago. I shower regularly and eat healthy. Help !

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle. I recommend to clean them with hydrogen peroxide and cover with an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin cream. I also recommend to maintain a good hygiene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
