Suggest Ideal Dosage Of Glycomet When Diagnosed With Diabetes

Hi, I am a diabetic since 3 months as fbs varies between 110 to 155mg/dl and p.p around 150 to 180mg/dl so doctor first advised to take glycomet 250 three times a day along with pioz7.5 and teniva 20 that time it was under control but now they suggested me to take glycomet s r 500 twice a day half tablet ... please suggest me

HI
metformin 250 mg is not a theuraptic dose
,minimum dose of metformin is 500mg
pioglitazone should be replaced by gliptins as glitazones can lead to severe hypoglycemai and increase risk of cardiac event in future .

Take gycomet sr 500mg twice daily
stop pioglitazone
and take a gliptin like sitagliptin if required( after suggestion with a diabetologist)
