Suggest Ideal Diet For Weight Loss

Hi, according to my BMI, I am obese and for the last 2 months have cut out all sugar and mostly breads. I exercise 30 minutes a day since walking is my only mode of transportation. I eat one big meal a day and snack twice a day, I have only lost 8lbs, can you suggest something else that will ensure weight loss.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Exercise is the most useful way to reduce obesity. Sudden decrease in large amount of your daily intake is not recommended. Again diet riched with high fiber like green leafy vegetables, fruits etc is appreciated. Fatty diet mainly comprising of saturated fat is harmful. Protein intake should be in sufficient amount. If you dont have diabetes carbohydrate control is not necessary. Please check your cholesterol level. If its found high statin drugs may help. Again there are some drugs mainly antidepressants which themselves cause obesity. If you are using such please switch over to another one.
Proper exercise, healthy diet, sufficient rest help to reduce obesity physiologically. Weight reduction in a very fast manner is not recommended.
