Hi I actually have 2 questions. 1. My belly button has this really weird smell, kinda smelld like poop. Are there any home remedies to fix it? 2. My vagina has a very fishy, musty odor when I urinate, what kind causes it? I do masturbate quite frequeny so sometimes I wonder if thats what causes it. Thank you!

Hi,

Frequent cleaning of the belly button will reduce any odor and infection. You can clean the area with a cotton swab regularly and keep it dry. Fishy odour in vaginal discharge can indicate bacterial vaginosis. Treatment with a 5 day course of antibiotics is required. Personal hygiene will also help in early recovery from infections.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
