Hello,
I suppose your diabetes is type 1. You haven't mentioned smoking which is a crucial bit of information. Anyway, a healthy lifestyle includes abstaining from alcohol consumption and smoking, maintaining a healthy body weight and exercising regularly.
Since you have some serious cardiovascular conditions, your cardiologist should advice you on the exercise intensity that's safe for you. Walking is great for almost everyone. Try walking every day (or at least every other day) for 30' or more if your cardiologist won't disagree.
Alcohol can even help the cardiovascular system in small quantities. Alcohol dependency is another story though. It makes everything worse - your diet, your heart's condition etc. You should contact an experienced doctor on this subject because it's not an easy or safe process to just cut down on drinking. You would require psychological and medicinal support for a long time.
The last element of a healthy lifestyle includes a healthy diet. As a diabetic you should always watch the quantity of your food. You should also avoid saturated fat and eat a lot of fiber. Should you need a more detailed approach don't hesitate to ask again!
Kind Regards!
