Encourage your child to open up and share her feelings with you. Make her feel emotionally secure by spending quality time with her and have meals together to prevent loneliness and sad feelings. Make sure she is not depressed and take her out on weekends to amusement parks, for picnic etc. Read stories with positive ending and encourage her to engage in activity that she enjoys or play games with her. Feed her well and include healthy foods in her diet like fruits, vegetables, rice, pasta, bread and other cereals in her diet. When she is ill, give her soups both veg and non-veg if you are a non-vegetarian, boiled eggs, rice, toast with butter, bananas, fruit juices like pomegranate juice, orange juice etc potato sandwiches and porridges made from semolina and sago. Encourage your child to eat more fruits and vegetables like leafy greens for vitamins and minerals needed for a strong immune system. Give her enough milk and milk products like curd and cheese as a calcium source needed for strong bones. Milk is the best source of calcium and must be included in daily diet of children. Give her snacks in between meals like milkshakes or fruit or sandwiches. Avoid giving junk and fried foods, processed foods and soft drinks.
