General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

He should avoid fatty foods, fried foods, coffee, chocolate, orange juices. Any foods containing high amount of fat or sugars will increase stomach acid secretion.
He should not eat before sleeping (last meal should be 2 hours before sleeping).
When sleeping, his head should be elevated a little (additional pillow should do that).

Hope this will help.
Regards.
