Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 89 year old dad vomited dark brown green last night for the first time and about three times. Today he slept most if day and I just gave him clear broth. At 8 he vomited green again. What could I do now to help stop this from happening again tonight
Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query. I can understand your concern for your dad.
Do not worry.
I would suggest you to - - Give him tablet Domperidone - this will stop the vomiting - Get him to drink loads of water , if possible oral rehydration solution - to replenish for the lost water - I would also start tablet Pantoprazole to prevent bloating
I would suggest you to visit a gastroenterologist immediately. He/she can examine him and correlate clinically.
Hope this helps. Have a nice day. Regards.
