Hello Doc. I just want to ask if you don t mind though, it s just that I have pimples and that I m scared that when I shave it will hurt the pimples and cause more damage, so what I m asking is it okay to just pluck my facial hair eventhough it s painful?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pimples on face and it hurts you while shaving, well it is because of the fact that pores of your skin become clogged and because of clogging of debris and leads to formation of pus. I would suggest you to start with application of gel containing clindamycin in the morning and benzoyl peroxide at night time. You should visit dermatologist once and get yourself examined. Don't use any cosmetics containing much chemicals. Avoid use of topical steroids. You should not pluck them with plucker as it can lead to inflammation of hair follicles. Recent methods such as Chemical peeling, dermabrasion, Dermaroller are also helpful. You can go ahead with these as well with proper prescription. Drink plenty of water. Use medicated sunscreen such as Tancare rich in SPF 30.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
