Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Insect Bite Hypersensitvity is actually an exaggerated reaction to the secretory products of Insects that are released during the bite.
It may present with redness, swelling, burning sensation, pain and sometimes vesiculation and skin necrosis.
As a treating doctor I usually ask my patients to use a combination of topical steroid+antibiotic cream, twice daily.
Steroids are anti-inflammatory and settle down swelling and redness that accompanies the reaction.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching and burning and discomfort.
I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist.
Your dermatologist may also choose to start you on a course of a short course of an oral steroids, depending on the condition.

Regards
