Suggest Cure For An Infection Caused By A Bee Sting

I got stung by a bee yesterday and was feeling ok afterward. This morning most of my body aches, including glands around my waist and I have very little energy. I don't feel nauscious but my appetite is gone. could this all be side affects of a bee sting?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Kindly do the following to overcome the symptoms:
1. Remove the Stinger by scraping the area with a fingernail or by using tweezers to remove it. Don't pinch the stinger as it would inject more venom.
2. Control Swelling by keeping ice-packs on the bite area. If the site is your arm or leg, you need to keep it elevated.
3. Treat Symptoms
(a) For pain, take an over-the-counter painkiller like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
(b) For itchiness, take an antihistamine like loratidine or cetrizine. You can also apply a mixture of baking soda and water or calamine lotion.
It might take 2-5 days for the area to heal. Keep it clean to prevent infection.
