Suggest Cure For A Bruise Below The Eye

I walked into my bedroom door on Thursday. I bumped my eyebrow fairly hard. I applied ice straight away and there is very faint bruising above and below the eye brow. Today I noticed that there is some discoloration (faint) below my eye and on my check bone. There is a very slight indentation on my forehead. It s quite tender to the touch, I m not dizzy or nauseous. Should I be concerned or is this probably just a bad bump.

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Hitting the door must have lead to bleeding/bruising in the underlying soft tissue which has now moved down to the lower eyelid and upper cheeks because of gravity and also because the loose tissue of the lower eyelid.
Normally a bruise would resolve by itself in about 10 days to 2 weeks without leaving any residue.
You may take an OTC pain killer e.g Ibuprofen for symptomatic pain relief.
I would suggest an oral Vitamin C supplement once daily for 2 weeks to hasten the resolution.

Regards
