Suggest Complications Of High FSH Values

My FSH level has risen from 145.5 to 171.5 in the past 6 months. I have had hot flashes, mood swings, fatigue, anxiety and irregular heavy periods. I am 43 years old, 5'2" and 130 lbs, and have one child. I have GERD and low vitamin D levels. These FSH values are alarming! Should I be concerned?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

The high FSH levels suggests that you are going for menopause, a little bit early. There is no need of repeating the FSH levels. If you are having severe menopausal symptoms you should consult a gynaecologist /endocrinologist and get started on hormone replacement treatment (HRT).

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
