hi I've had a period for 7 weeks now my doctor has requested a scan 2 weeks ago and given me medication to stop the bleeding which it has,I also had a fever 5 weeks ago. I have a copper coil which i believe is the cause of my problems and I am getting painful twinges how serious is it?

Hi, Bleeding is one of the most common cause of copper coil insertion. Since, now your bleeding is reduced/stopped with the medication, no need to worry. No seriousness. But keep checking for the coil in position.
For pain you can take NSAID like ibuprofen and If untolerable pain or bleeding then you can get it removed and can follow other measures.
