Suggest Cause For Headache Post An Angiogram

I had an angiogram of my heart yesterday and everything was normal but I ve had a very bad headache ever since. They gave me medication through an IV at the hospital but now that I am home my headache hasn t let up. I do get migraines but wondered if I need to worry

I have noted your symptoms. First of all, I would like to reassure you that there is no need to worry about your headache, as it does not suggest any serious illness.

Contrast agent is used for coronary angiogram, and in some cases, it may cause headaches.

It would settle down on own. For relief of headache, you may take diclofenac or ibuprofen tablets.
