Suggest Cause And Remedy For Red Spots Or Blisters On The Foot

I have a place on the soft skin of the arch of my foot where there are a cluster of red dots....looks like bites of some kind....bot does not itch. These have been on my foot for at least 3 months. The skin where this patch is located becomes tough and peels repeatedly. Now it seems like the red spots are spreading. I have no idea what this could be or if I should be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to health care magic,

I can understand your concern for this red spots on the foot.

It could be due to some insect bite or stain or mild superficial skin trauma pr may be some skin infection since they seem to be spreading but only after visual inspection,I will be able to say regarding those spots.

In view to help you best I request you to kindly tell me certain important points regarding that spot:

- Is is present anywhere else or on the other foot.

- Any burning or any discomfort over the spot.

- Any history of walking barefoot or wearing some new shoes.

- any history of contact with any chemical if you can remember before the visibility of the spot.

However, the skin over the spots are tough and peeling, then it is a matter of concern,so you would require some medical attention but no need to get panicked since it can be managed with medications once diagnosis is confirmed.

So,you should see a doctor preferably general surgeon who may examine it and can guide you accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
