Suggest Cause And Remedy For Foot And Mouth Disease
I think my son has hand foot and mouth. He was with his cousin last week, who on Monday we found out came down with HFM. My son has a fever, white sores in his mouth and tongue. His cheeks are also swollen and he asks for more pain medication. Is this normal?

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have foot and mouth disease along with fever, white sores in his mouth and tongue which is due to viral infection. Symptoms of your son are normal. You should give him symptomatic treatment rather than antibiotic or pain medications. I would suggest you to gargle with sodium bicarbonate solution. You should take a multivitamin tablet daily. You should be careful while taking care of him, as you could acquire the virus a sit is highly infectious. . Wash your hands frequently, For relief from pain and inflammation anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be taken. Sucking ice cubes and gargle with cold water can relief. Avoid hot and spicy food. You should give benadryl solution as well.
