hello doc, i had a urine test last july 29, 2014 and test reports show Sugar: Negative; Albumin: Negative; RBC: 40-50; pus cells: 1-2. My doctor told me to have a KUB Ultrasound, so i go right away to sonologist/radiologist and had K U B ultrasound and the result/IMPRESSION; Unremarkable sonogram of both kidneys and urinary bladder. Its sound normal but why I have a blood in my urine? My doctor gave me an antibiotics (cefalexin 500mg and cotrimoxazole tablets 500mg) I take the medicines twice a day after meals for 3 days now.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Causes of blood in urine are trauma, tuberculosis, malignancy in urogenital tract. However your ultrasound KUB is normal. So no need to big worry. You should complete the course of antibiotics and then check for urine routine and microscopic examination again. Then you should take further treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
