Hi - What cancer center regimen is best for a 67-year old man with stage 4 cancer of the esophagus? What makes it a stage 4 rather than a stage 3 is that he has one spot beside his kidney and one where the esophagus empties into the stomach. Stage4 is an advanced stage and complete cure may not be possible at this stage. Chemo or radiotherapy will be the main treatment modality at this stage.
