Suggest Bruises In The Belly Button

Hi I just got a belly button done about 4 days ago and I m starting to form a red/purple area around the top part of my piercing? Is it just bruised? There no puss or anything coming out of it and I ve been cleaning it twice a day like my piercer told me too.

Hello,

As per your case history of a bruise, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
