Suggest Best Regimen To Take AKT4 For TB Lymphadenitis
Hi sir I have been diagnosed with TB lymphadenitis. .going to start AKT4 from tomorrow.just wanted to know the best kit regimen. some Dr advise to take all 4 tab empty stomach, few advised to take rifampicin cap before breakfast, rest of 3 tab after breakfast. ..., kindly suggest the best regimen which ensure proper absorbtion of drugs
Rifampicin is best to be taken before breakfast which means half to one hour before breakfast. This is because the drug absorption may sometimes be affected by food. All the other three drugs can be taken after food. In case you experience any gastritis, Rifampicin should be taken along with proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
