Suggest Appropriate Treatment For Lyme Disease

I have a client who has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and the insurance company is not going to support her costs and cover her condition. How can I help her? I looked all that Web MD has to offer, I reviewed the internet, and I have called the insurer. The response is that this is not a known condition per se and that they have to treat each condition separately, which makes sense, however it will not be covered based on the diagnosis given. I am trying to be of service here. I would appreciate your guidance.

Hello and welcome to HCM
I have read your query
I hope this will help
LYME DISEASE is a tick borne disease caused by a SPIROCHETE BORRELIA BURGDOFERI..
The disease typically occur in three stages.
STAGE 1:Flu like symptoms with skin rash
STAGE 2:CNS symptoms like meningitis, which occurs week top months later
STAGE 3:arthritis which occurs months to years later..
Once the diagnosis is established disease is treated as:
Stage 1:is treated with CAP DOXYCYLINE 100MG TWICE daily for 2-3 weeks
Stage 2:in case of meningitis with CEFTRIAXONE FOR 2-3 weeks.and
STAGE 3:also with DOXYCYLINE for 4 weeks..
I would advise you to take your client to a infectious diseases specialist and have a proper categorization of the disease and proceed accordingly..don't worry about the cost of treatment as it would be pretty economical.
Thanks
