Suggest An Alternative Treatment For Hives
I am 6 months post total thyroidectomy and have taken levothyroxine successfully until a couple of weeks ago. I am suddenly getting chronic hives. I stopped med s for 5 d and took benedry. I was better and started taking synthroid. Now am getting chronic hives again. Any ideas on what to do?

I don't think its allergy to thyroxine as it is a natural human hormone. you should consult your physician regarding this. Maybe there is some preservative in the medicine causing the hives.
