Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Multaq(dronedarone tablets) - a class III anti-arrhythmic drug increases mortality in patients with heart failure.

This Class III agent has modest efficacy in patients with paroxysmal AF, of whom approximately 30–50% will benefit.

Amiodarone is more effective, maintaining sinus rhythm in approximately two-thirds (75%) of patients.

It can be administered to patients with heart failure and coronary artery disease. It is also a class III antiarrhythmic drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
