Suggest An Alternative Of Millinette Birth Control Pills

Hi, I require advice about an alternative birth control pill. I m currently taking Millinette 30/75 and have been doing so for the last year. (I have also taken Yasmin in the past.) I am currently travelling, and the country I am in does not supply Millinette, hence I need suggestions for a suitable alternative. I am 21 years old, and not overweight. I drink on occasion, and smoke rarely. I have been diagnosed with PCOS in the past, and am currently taking fluoxetine for depression, and glucophage for insulin resistance. Please advise on a suitable birth control alternative, ideally something that will help manage my PCOS as well. I believe the birth control options here are Cerazette, Cilest, Diane, Diane-35, Exluton, Femulen, Gynera, Loestrin 20, Loestrin 30, Logynon, Marvelon, Microgynon, Microgynon-30, Micronor, Microval, Minulet, Nordette, Ortho Novum 1/50, Ovulen 50, Ovysmen, Trinordiol, Trinordiol 21, Trinovum, Yaz and Yasmin. Thank you for the help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Millinette tablets contain two active ingredients namely ethinylestradiol and gestodene. These are synthetic versions of the naturally occurring female sex hormones - oestrogen and progesterone.

Aidulan, Femodene and Minulet have the same composition and hence you can take them as per the schedule you are following.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
