Suggest Alternative Treatment For Eczema And Folliculitis

HI MY 13 YEAR OLD SON WAS PRESCRIBED METHOTREXATE TODAY. HE HAD BLOOD TESTS TAKEN AFTER THE CONSULTATION AND IS TO TAKE 2.5MG ON FRIDAY. THEN 10MG EVERY FRIDAY FOR 8 WEEKS. IN THE 8 WEEKS HE WILL HAVE BLOOD TESTS DONE EVERY 2 WEEKS. HE HAS ECZEMA AND FOLOCILITISE FOR ABOUT THE LAST 4 YEARS HE HAD A COURSE OF UV LIGHT TREATMENT 2 YEARS AGO WHICH ALMOST CLEARED THE RASH. HOWEVER IT CAME BACK SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. HE HAS TRIED OTHER REMIDIES AND IT STILL COMES BACK SOMETIMES QUIRT ANGRY. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION. THANKS, JOE.

Hi...Can understand your concern. As per your query about eczema and folliculitis in your child who is 13 years old seems to be auto immune or immune mediated allergic response. When his body get exposed to certain type of allergens, irritants or it may be a particular drug then in order to protect itself the body is giving this type of response.Try to know the cause which is aggravating it by preventing its contact because it will happen again and again and worsen the situation.Once the treatment gets over take precautions by taking suggestions from the dermatologist.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
