Suggest Alternative Medicine For Missed Period

Hello. I was taking Duphaston by 10 months. Then I stooped to take that. And the following two months I didn´t get my periods. I want to ask you where is the problem? Do you know any alternative methods ? I don´t want to take more pills. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you have a history of missed period since two months, you are suggested to first get examined by a gynecologist.

Missed period commonly occurs due to pregnancy, if you are sexually active & not on regular or emergency contraceptive pills. other medical conditions can be anemia, pcos, uterine infection, hormonal problems, stress, anxiety & tensions. Get evaluated & treated at the earliest.

Your treating doctor may give you medroxy progesterone to help you get periods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
